Organic Chemistry

Combine extraordinary chemical skills, entrepreneurial spirit and “can do” attitude and you’ve got IBC Organics. We have been providing novel approaches to chemical synthesis since 1992 with the finest technical and customer service available. Our clients run the gamut from major pharmaceutical companies to budding ventures.

Our Unique Approach to Organic Synthesis

The general trend in synthetic production is to quickly synthesize the desired material, deferring the resulting inefficiencies to purification. Less attention is paid to the mechanics of synthesis. The result is crude compounds with low purity, low yields and difficult, time-consuming and expensive purification. Under these conditions production can be a challenge; sometimes completion of the compound is impossible.

We have a radically different approach: place the emphasis on the synthesis. Our scrupulous attention to the chemistries and techniques employed results in crude compounds with high purity, high yields and simplified purification. This approach yields substantial savings in both time and money. With it we routinely produce what others struggle with.

Galactose-1-Phosphate (G-1-P)

IBC has been supplying G-1-P for 16 years and is one of the world’s largest producers of this material. The material is produced in our facility where all aspects of production are strictly controlled. Production occurs in a dedicated laboratory outfitted with non-UV emitting (yellow) lighting to prevent photodegradation. Included in the synthesis strategy is a multi-step final purification procedure to insure product purity. Quality control consists of extensive testing of each batch using the latest techniques, including Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Electrospray Ionisation Tandem Mass Spectrometry (ESI-MS-MS). Our material is used on board automated clinical diagnostic instrumentation, in clinical laboratories for non-automated uses, and by researchers. IBC supplies quantities from milligrams to kilograms.
